Thanks Sarah and Uma. Unusual of me not to say anything!
The long story, Uma, is that I was actually just trying out a technique in a book where you emboss words on some old book paper using a clear embossing pen and clear embossing powder. Then you paint over the top, leaving the letters clear. Next, wipe over them gently with a cloth to clean the embossed letters. When dry, outline the letters with a glaze pen. I used the words from a song I used to know, the next line was 'One More River to Cross'. I used them because they mean something to me in my private life about some things I need to do... Oh, yes, to finish off I just drew and painted the mountain outline.
On Creative Flourishes you will find examples of my photography, mixed media artwork, cardmaking and general art & craft making. Hopefully I will inspire others (as others inspire me) to get creating too! I also include snippets of my family life with my husband and my two teen boys, aged 17 and 15.
