Today I had a go (although not for the first time) at Shrink Plastic on this Valentine creation:
The heart shape on the shrink plastic was made with a stamp and has a rough thick black outline so I kept that as my theme. After matting and layering the shrink plastic I added the other details freehand with a Sharpie (apart from the ribbon, which is made of chiffon material and came from Ikea). The rough lines are of course, deliberate! ;-)
I actually made two pieces of Shrink Plastic:
Amazing how the heart looks almost golden in daylight, whereas it looks red at nightime.
This was the swirly one against today's blue sky:
(Shame its still so cold, despite the blue sky. Roll on Spring!)
I will be using this piece of shrink plastic on another creation.

Finally today, I thought I'd show you this recent purchase from the sales:
A waterproof notebook!
(Hawkin's Bazaar £4) Whatever next!
Thanks for looking and for any comments,

Beautiful bold card x
I love your flourish shrinkie, I would wear that as a necklace!
That notebook is like the surveying books I use at work they are waterproof so you can survey outside in the rain all year round and still get to read your measures when you get back to the office; they are mega expensive though.
Kandi x
How do you keep creating all the time? I'm so glad to be back in the land of blogdom, going to catch up on all your posts tonight with a cup of fruit tea and duvet ;) I made Lee a little shrink plastic charm in his valentines card a few years ago, it was a love letter I wrote out in sharpie then shrunk down to tiny for him to stick in his wallet. Your efforts are much more gorgeous! Especially love the heart and the colours within it.. just beautiful x
Thank you Rainmac. I want to be a bit bolder with my makes this year.
OOh Kandi, maybe you could save the firm money and stock up at Hawkins Bazaar.
Mel, I've been downsizing my crafting this year. Last year I made something practically every day and it was quite a pressure - now I am just loving doing things as and when. Can't deny I just love creating! I think the mini love letter sounds fabulous and I bet it was too! Glad to see you blogging and creating again. xxx
