Snowman Scrapbooking Page

I fiinally sorted out the technical problems I encountered earlier and here is the finished 8x8 scrapbook page:

Well, when I say, 'sorted out,' I mean I redid the page. The pages I put on earlier  I couldn't get a nice bright white.  I tried both White Stazon and Flocking Powder but they both were too pale. I discovered that, luckily, I did have enough white embossing powder so used it to do the pattern on this.

It's a boy page on fushia pink paper - my favourite colour - and this is the colour combination (white & pink) that I got married in.

I used White Core Co-ordinations paper and distressed the edges by sanding too.

  The same stamp set (from Bo Bunny) was used on this one that I did in the Autumn:

Gift of Dreams

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today, I've been to the dentist and had my very first extraction! Owwww! Certainly makes me want to take a lot more care of all my others! :-(   I liked what the dentist prescribed though, 'you need to lie on the sofa and have flowers and chocolates!' lol.  This was directed at my husband who was there with me - shame it didn't happen though! (bah!)

...is this scrapbooking page of Christmas 1999 - Love the lettering on this Bo Bunny Paper (free with one of the papercrafting magazines this month), that says this:

'You are the Gift that made all my Dreams come true"

I've always loved this picture of myself when heavily pregnant, taken the month before my eldest was born:

I did ask my husband to deliberately chop my head off when he took the picture - it made it more photojournalistic!

I just thought it suited the sentiment on the Christmas themed paper perfectly.

My two boys have had their first lesson in Fencing after school (in school) today, hope they don't start practicing - on me!

Motivating Myself

Tonight I have done an inspiration page for myself - of myself!:

The reason its inspirational is because its a picture that was taken a few years ago when I was a bit healthier (and slimmer) than I am now.  I thought it would be useful as a reminder to myself that if I make more effort I could get to be more like how I used to be.  I'm not one for dieting (been there, done that MANY times!), I much prefer the 'live a healthy lifestyle for life' way, which at the moment isn't happening.  I am treating myself just a little too often and could do with making more healthier choices.

I liked this picture because it was taken in the Autumn and I'm even wearing autumny colours myself! (yes, even that waistcoat!! :-)  )   I've stuck the photo on appropriately coloured paper and gone wild with my rubber stamps. I'm thinking that I might add a touch of journalling on the right hand side.
