ICAD Days 5 and 6

Here I have two days of the IDAC (Index Card a Day) to show you.  This one, which I have just literally finished a second ago:

Wondering whether I should add some words somewhere?

It was made with some fountain pen cartridges I had spare (they didn't fit any pens I had so I just opened them up and splashed them about!)   I added the circular stamps from a collection I had in the post the other day.   This project is proving useful for trying out new - or indeed old - stash that may well get forgotten.

This was yesterday's card:
I must admit I had a battle with this one, it went through a stage where I wasn't liking it so I added more ... and now I feel better about it.   The quote, which I love, is from the book, 'Love Eternally' that I was reading and finished yesterday.  It was a real tearjerker and I needed my tissues!  (Husband and son were giving me a look)...

Thanks for looking today and for any comments,
Nicky

  1. Wow, that newest card is great! I don't think I'd add words or anything to it.

  2. That top card is fab - love it! It would make a fantastic background, but is just great as it is. x

  3. I love how you say you 'just' opened the cartridges. Was there mess? Was there lots of it?

Love both of these but especially that bottom one - so intricate!

  4. By opening them Carmen, I meant, 'poking the bottom with a pointy thing' as you normally do with ink cartridges. I did try and control the mess but you know how it is when you 'splash randomly!'... ☺

  5. I done the same thing with the ink before, but I did it over paint instead of with a rubber stamp. The stamp is a good idea! I really like that. It's great looking too.

The quote turned out fabulous! I hope you really like the way it turned out. I do! It's one of the cards I wish I could just own and hang on my wall to look at all the time.
